The LQ360™ Leadership Assessment is a powerful tool that measures a leader’s effectiveness in their current organization across five dimensions of leadership by combining their individual self-assessment with anonymous feedback from others around them (manager(s), peers, direct reports, and others). This thorough feedback gives the leader a complete picture of how they are being experienced and how their natural wiring is contributing to their leadership effectiveness.

Unlike a performance review, which often reflects recent events or job-specific metrics, the LQ360™ provides multi-dimensional feedback on leadership behavior from multiple lenses. Unlike a personality assessment that shows internal traits, LQ360™ shows how those traits are experienced by others, offering a more complete picture for actionable development.

Yes, all rater feedback is anonymous, and only aggregated results are shown in the report. This creates a safe space for honest feedback while protecting the confidentiality of individual raters. To guarantee anonymity, we require a minimum of two raters in every category, except for the manager category. Because individuals typically only have one manager, their feedback will be in a category of their own, unless multiple managers are included in this group. Feedback is aggregated by rater group to protect individual identities while providing clear, actionable insights.

LQ360™ is designed for emerging leaders, mid-level managers, senior executives, and anyone in a leadership or influence role. It is flexible enough to support both individual coaching and enterprise-level development initiatives. The LQ360™ offers a unique opportunity to understand how others experience your leadership, revealing strengths to build on and blind spots to address. It’s a powerful foundation for coaching, leadership development, and personal growth.

We allow unlimited raters and recommend a balanced mix of individuals across the categories who have observed or experienced your leadership and can accurately provide feedback from their perspective. Feedback is typically collected from multiple categories, including:

  • Your manager
  • Your direct reports
  • Your peers or colleagues
  • Other stakeholders who know your leadership style (e.g., clients, board members)

Yes. You will have the opportunity to select your own raters. We recommend choosing a mix of individuals who can provide a balanced view of your leadership behavior. As a best practice, we also recommend that you have your rater list approved by your manager or HR Representative.

For the overall timeline, we recommend giving raters approximately 2-3 weeks to complete their rating. The self-assessment takes about 15 minutes to complete, and raters typically spend 20 minutes or less providing feedback, including open-ended responses on leadership strengths and struggles.

Yes! We highly recommend pairing the two assessments. The RightPath profile shows how you are naturally wired to lead and the LQ360™ shows how that wiring is experienced by others. Together, they offer an unparalleled view of your leadership effectiveness. You can also participate in a guided debrief session with a certified coach to interpret your results and create a Leadership Development Plan (LDP). We recommend no more frequently than every 1218 months. Individuals need time to recognize any changes that have been made and be ready to acknowledge them in their feedback. Repeating an LQ360™ is helpful to track growth, apply learning, and continuously refine leadership impact.
